Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel SOFER is an American
actress. Her role includes daytime television, episodic guest performances, as
well as TV-produced movies. Sofer won the Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 in her
role as Lois Cerullo on the soap series General Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been
her role in the CBS soap the show The Bold and The Beautiful since 2013. Sofer
was the daughter of Susan Sofer (a psychologist professor) and Martin Sofer (a
Conservative rabbi). Her family later moved to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
Then, she moved with her father, David, to Teaneck, New Jersey in 1970. They
lived in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. They resided in
Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father ran the Beth Samuels Jewish Center.
She was a student at the Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern Orthodox
Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer lived in North Bergen where
her father was the rabbi at synagogue Temple Beth El. After graduating from
North Bergen High School in 1998, she continued her studies at Montclair State
College. Sofer played Lois Marie Cerullo for the first time on General
Hospital. Her first appearance was in 1993 as a manager of a band. However, her
first role was playing Rocky McKenzie in the daytime soap series Loving
(1988-91). Most well-known is her role in General Hospital as Lois Cerullo
(December 15, 1993 – September 24 1996). Later , she was back on the show as a
guest star (February 7 1997 - September 30 September 30, 1997 October 2 1997
October 2, 1997 - October 2 1997). Her performance as the hilarious Lois won
Sofer an award. Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for the role of Outstanding
Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Sofer was invited to join CBS soap opera
The Bold and the Beautiful in the newly created role in the role of Quinn
Fuller. Her first episode aired July 12. Sofer has appeared in several notable
primetime TV series as a support cast member/guest star roles: Seinfeld,
Melrose Place, The Chronicle, Ed, Friends, Spin City, Blind Justice, Ghost
Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men.
