Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was born in Los Angeles,
California to Quincy Jones, a media mogul and producer, and Peggy Lipton,
Rashida is the younger sister of actress Peggy Lipton and Quincy Jones. Kidada
Jones is her elder sister. She has five half-siblings from her father's other
relationships. Her father is African-American, and her mother Ashkenazi Jewish
(a descendant from the emigrants who emigrated to Russia and Latvia). Rashida
was born into Reform Judaism. Her birthplace was Bel Air, Los Angeles. Jones
has stated of her dual race parents, "It was the 1970s and it's not even
that acceptable for them to be married." Jones began her professional
acting debut in The Last Don in 1997 the mini-series based on Mario Puzo.
Rashida was also an Harvard University graduate in 1997. The course was at the
Buckley School, Sherman Oaks, California. Awarded Most Likely To Succeed.
Arabic (O+ O'UO-O(c), her name) signifies "Major," adult, mature,

Jones, Rachel Jones and Martina Jones. On February 25, 2003, Mark Ronson, a
music producer, was engaged to her. Niece of Robert Lipton. Her romantic
relationships include Josh Hartnett and Charlie Hunnam. Kidada Jones was her
sister's ring bearer and was singer for a Tupac Shakur tribute track. Kidada
and Rashida's brother Quincy Jones III composed the song. Quincy Jones III,
their father, also appeared during the introduction, reciting Shakur's lines
"Starry Night". The poem was the source for the song's title.
Rashida's father, who's African-American, also has smaller percentage of
English, Scottish and Welsh ancestral ancestry (some people who are ancestors
to Rashida's African ancestral line are of the Tikar people of Cameroon).
Rashida's mother, Ashkenazi Jewish (of Russian Jewish heritage as well as
Latvian Jewish heritage), is Rashida. Her paternal grandparents hail of South
Carolina and Mississippi, respectively. Her maternal grandfather was born in
New York, and her maternal grandmother was from Eastern European Jewish
heritage. At the end 2009, she had played three different characters, including
"Karen", on the sitcoms of the past: Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella
((2005) and The Office ((2005)).
