Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as the host of Worst Cooks in America. The spiky blond hair and bubbly appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of eating out and offers concise easy-to-master techniques to cook at home on her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell has also worked at various top eateries within New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy as well as competed on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. When she was growing up in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell was able to discover a love of food and cooking at a young age. The Culinary Institute of America was a natural next step for her when she finished with the Bachelor of Arts degree in English as well as Communications at Canisius College Buffalo NY. According to her "I loved being a Culinary Institute Of America student. I was awed by every minute." It was difficult to master enough and I could not accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) during her time at Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. In her time in Italy she came to be aware of the history and philosophy of Italian culinary and cultural traditions that has had a profound impact in her standpoint. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten children's lives who are facing obstacles. Also, she's a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador who promotes an awareness campaign on the condition known as juvenile diabetes. In her role as a speaker, Burrell travels across the nation to share her passion for cooking and food, as well as to talk about her profession in culinary. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she has always said I feel blessed to be able be able to share the passion I have in life with others.
